Emergency! CPR Certification with Rachel Lynch (Presented by Vibo)

When presented with a medical emergency at an event, how can the DJ help? By lending a hand, and hopefully lending one with certified expertise. At DJX ’25 on Aug. 14, you’ll have the opportunity to become CPR-certified and put yourself in a position to best handle these situations. By becoming CPR-certified, DJs prepare themselves to respond swiftly in critical situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of their audiences when every second counts.

At DJX ’25, the American Red Cross will offer a four-hour certified course, taught by DJ Rachel Lynch, certified instructor and Connecticut State EMT. This comprehensive program will cover CPR basics for adults and children, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage, and how to handle choking emergencies. Please note: Class size is limited to 20 participants.

The Big Rig: Delivering Great Sound at Larger Events

For mobile jocks, booking bigger events can create lucrative opportunities. But there may be some challenges involved. Are you prepared to deliver a great experience and get that repeat business? At DJX’25, DJ vet/soundman Tony Fernandez will explain why you should make that move for a bigger rig and further demonstrate how you can take a step up in class, sound-wise.

At many events, like certain proms and homecomings, a typical wedding system just won’t cut it as a mobile rig. In this session, the Richmond, Va.-based jock will explore your pro-audio options and explain how to put that big rig together. Plus, he’ll offer some tried-and-true audio principles for making those larger rooms sound great.
