Starting out as a high-school jock in The Bronx spinning Sweet 16 parties, Jellybean’s journey took him to NYC's top clubs (Funhouse, Studio 54) and into the studio where he produced and remixed chart-topping artists (Madonna, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson). He’s run successful record labels (H.O.L.A., Jellybean Soul) and a music-publishing company (Jellybean Music Group), plus he’s contributed music for hit films (Carlito's Way, Flashdance and Footloose). Jellybean Benitez has done it all, and on Tuesday, Aug. 11, DJX attendees will hear his inspirational success story.
