DJX ‘26: DJX Scratch Invitational to Launch Aug. 10
Stop The Panic has teamed up with the World Scratch Invitational Organization to present The First DJX Scratch Invitational Regional Championship, powered by AlphaTheta. The scratch battle will take place during DJX at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Aug. 10 and Aug. 12.
This exciting turntablist competition will showcase 16 selected DJs competing for top prizes, including a $1,000 cash award, travel accommodations to next year's World Scratch Invitational Championship, a Pioneer DJ DJM-S7 battle mixer, and a Defsonix Boombox. The runner-up will receive a $500 cash prize and a Pioneer DJ DJM-S5 scratch mixer, with additional prizes to be announced.
The Invitational’s Semifinals and Championship Finals will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Plum Lounge. The Semifinals are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 10 (8:00–9:30 pm), followed by the Championship Finals on Wednesday, Aug. 12 (6:30–8:00 pm).
Industry icons, Babu and Prolifix, have been confirmed as the first two judges for the Invitational, with more to be announced. The competition introduces an interactive element, in allowing real-time audience voting via QR codes during battles, which will drive engagement and capture direct feedback from the DJ community around this epic showdown.
Since its inception in 2017 as the NAMM Invitational, the World Scratch Invitational Championship has gained prominence in the DJ community. Last year’s finals highlighted notable artists like 545 (aka the DJ quartet of D-Styles, Excess, Mike Boo and Pryvet Peepsho) and other competitors from around the world.
